You Can Play in the Game of Thrones Thanks to HBO’s SDCC Scavenger Hunt

As if you didn’t already have enough to do at San Diego Comic-Con next week, HBO has you covered with a little game of cat and mouse (Baratheon and boar?) where you’re the cat, and an awesome prize pack of Game of Thrones goodies is the mouse worth about $200.

Just, promise us you’ll be careful. Beware your competitors, because as we all know, things can get a little messy in the Game of Thrones.

To win a plethora of Thrones-swag, participants must compete in a scavenger hunt starting Wednesday, July 20th, finding items like the royal crown of King Robert Baratheon, a mask of the dreaded Night King (worn by the participant or another con-goer), and Thrones themed stationery sets. By posting photos of the items with the hashtag #GoTScavengerHunt from a public Twitter account, players enter themselves into the fiercest of competitors. Maybe not a trial by combat, but who knows where the weekend will take us.

As always, though, the most exciting moment comes at the climax of the episode, or the scavenger hunt, in this case. After completing the initial five challenges, the first 15 players to check in at the USAopoly’s CLUE: Game of Thrones Experience Booth (#1017) on Saturday July 23rd between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. and post a photo of themselves with the CLUE: Game of Thrones Convention Exclusive: Expansion Pack will win the elusive HBO Thrones prize pack.

What is in the prize pack, you ask? HBO doesn’t disappoint with a list including Game of Thrones plush figures, a house-sigil stationery set, and the very Clue game winners photographed as the final challenge in the activity.

Learn more about the Game of Thrones scavenger hunt here, and keep an eye out for any of those sneaky Lannisters who may be playing. They’re a feisty bunch.

Tag us along with the #GoTScavengerHunt hashtag if you’re participating! We want to see what kind of shenanigans you get yourselves into at SDCC. Let’s talk strategy in the comments below, or find me on Twitter @bekahbabble!
