WATCH: How to Play – Thanos Rising- Avengers: Infinity War

Join Game the Game host Becca Scott as she shows us how to play new amazing tabletop games here on Geek & Sundry!

This week, Becca is saving the galaxy from destruction in Thanos Rising – Avengers: Infinity War by USAOpoly. In this two to four player cooperative game, you are taking on the roles of your favorite Marvel heroes and teaming up to defeat Thanos.

Each player starts the game with a starting hero, a base of operations, and a deployment token. On your turn, you deploy your team to one of three sectors in the deployment zone. You then roll to see what Thanos does (stays in the sector he’s already facing or faces another one) and which Infinity Stone he is focused on. Heroes in that sector take damage and the stone gains a token. If a hero’s damage meter gets completely filled, they die and are taken out of the game. If a stone gains five tokens, it gets added to Thano’s gauntlet and he gains more power.

Now it’s your turn to roll. You’re trying to match symbols on the cards in your sector to recruit more heroes or defeat a villain. New heroes give you more abilities to fight and win.

There are three ways Thanos can win: collect all six Infinity Stones, eliminate ten heroes, or if one player loses all their heroes.

For you to win, all you have to do is defeat a number of villains based on the difficulty of the game you’re playing.
