L.A. By Night Celebrity Playlist: Jasper by Alex Ward

Powered by Geek & Sundry

On our  Vampire: The Masquerade RPG show, L.A. By Night, we get to watch a coterie of players roleplaying as vampires using the fifth edition rules of Vampire: The Masquerade RPG.

Jasper (played by Alex Ward) is the coterie’s Clan Nosferatu representative. Nosferats are typically drawn from the ‘outcasts’ of society, such as the deformed, vagrants, and the destitute. Alex has compiled a playlist that encapsulates the character and provided insight to each song on the playlist below.

Don’t Tell Me – Blancmange:  This is a song from a past life, a time when he was opening up.

Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D Major – Johann Sebastian Bach: Sounds of his childhood, a reminder of good and bad.

Carmina Burana –  I, Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi – Carl Off: Sound that drowns out other thoughts and allows him to concentrate.

After the Fall – Chelsea Wolfe:  Finds kinship in this piece, sounds familiar to him.

Never Land – A Fragment – Sisters of Mercy: Represents a feeling rather than something Jasper listens to.

The Angels (Cruciform) – Christian Death: As one ages, music tastes change. Sometimes you look forward, other times you look back.  Jasper found this song at some point, just likes it.

Sar Bir – Dir En Grey: Another representation of Jasper, a feeling more than a song.

Soulless (The Makers Reflection) – Psyclon Nine: Labyrinth.

Rain Of Blood – Die Form:  Finds this song amusing, people try so hard.

5 Morceaux de fantaisie op. 3, Sergei Rachmaninoff: Jasper likes to play this on the piano, has never been able to play it right.

Liszt: Dante Symphony S109 : I Inferno:  Sees himself here, sometimes it is comforting to see how far you have sunk.
