Critical Role is Geek & Sundry’s live Dungeons & Dragons show featuring Dungeon Master Matthew Mercer and his troupe of fellow voice actors. Catch them every Thursday night at 7:00 PM PT on the Geek & Sundry Twitch channel and on Alpha.
Spoilers for the second campaign of Critical Role follow.
Seriously. Spoilers. We’re really not kidding.
The Mighty Nein were devastated not only by the sudden disappearance of three of their members, but by the unexpected death of Mollymauk Tealeaf. After Mollymauk died at the hands of the brutal Lorenzo, the remaining members of the group paid their respects and left a note–and a little hope–with Molly just in case he crawls out of the ground once again.
Critical Role fans have also been leaving their tributes to the fabulous blood hunter, who fulfilled his goal of leaving every place a little better than he found it.
Take a look at the gallery below for fan art and cosplay dedicated to Mollymauk Tealeaf of The Mighty Nein.
A heart of gold, and a compass to guide him home… I’ll always love #Mollymauk @CriticalRole @executivegoth #CriticalRole #criticalrolefanart. The rune/compass is vegvísir – the wayfinder. Carrying it, you’ll never lose your way, even if you don’t know where you’re going. pic.twitter.com/PmQZZjpTQV

Videos, Songs, and Charity
Critters also made videos and even songs for the fallen tiefling. Eponymous_Rose created a video with highlights, and CritRoleStats, always the reliable source for information and the smallest details, put together an episode list with accompanying art to go along with it.
Kelli Butler, also known as @TheOperaGeek, sang a tribute to Mollymauk based on the Broadway musical song “Joseph’s Coat.”
The lyrics below for another song inspired by the circus man were written by @NomeDaBarbarian. “It’s sung to the tune of ‘General Taylor‘,” he says. “Rufus (the cited author) is a skeleton bard from a previous Tal’Dorei campaign I’ve played. This is an in-universe song for a character’s death in a D&D livestream, by another character, from a different D&D game.”
Critter Ams has created an enamel pin design inspired by Mollymauk, with all proceeds from the sale going to 826LA.

Will Mollymauk ever return to the Mighty Nein? Stranger things have happened, especially to our favorite adventurers. It’s obvious his short time in the story not only left an indelible mark on the Mighty Nein, but also Critical Role fans as well.
Long may he reign.
