WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA (Monday, March 31st 2014) – Geek & Sundry is pleased to announce the details of a flagship event kicking off its 2nd Annual International TableTop Day, in partnership with leading game publishers, on Saturday April 5th. Originally conceived as a one-day celebration where friends and family spend time together playing tabletop games, 2013’s inaugural event was a huge success, with over 3,100 gaming events organized in 64 countries across all seven continents. This year, the global activities will be anchored by a special VIP celebrity event in West Hollywood presented by award-winning TableTop series host Wil Wheaton and geek personality Felicia Day. What’s more, Geek & Sundry is inviting hundreds of local players to join in the festivities by offering a limited number of tickets to fans. A huge library of tabletop games will be available to play, including exclusive giveaways. Tickets for the event can be purchased at:

For April 5th, thousands of private and public events worldwide have already been registered on the website, as players organize their own local gatherings leading up to the day. The Los Angeles event will be live-streamed on starting at 12noon PST. Notable sponsors include Japanime Games, Alderac Entertainment, Asmodee, Ravensburger, Atlas Games, Calliope Games, Looney Labs, Steve Jackson Games and Stronghold Games. TableTop is a digital series created by Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day, and is best described as ‘Celebrity Poker meets Dinner for Five’, with notable geeks coming together to enjoy tabletop games.

“International TableTop Day was created as a way for us to say ‘thank you’ and give back to our fans,” said Geek & Sundry Co-founder and TableTop Executive Producer, Sheri Bryant. “After last year’s phenomenal turn out, it made perfect sense for us to support audiences, game publishers and retailers in an even bigger way by launching an exclusive LA-based event. We’re so grateful for Japanime Games and others in making this happen.”

Erica Gifford, Operations & Marketing Manager for Japanime Games, added: “We’re proud to be supporting Wil, Felicia and Geek & Sundry as sponsor for 2014 International TableTop Day. Bringing friends and family together through tabletop gaming is a key part of our business, and we’re excited to see what new games the general public will discover and play this Saturday.”
