Game Master Tips With Matt Mercer – Preventing or Dealing With Burnout

Matt Mercer is back for another round of Game Master Tips!

Sometimes you run out of ideas, you get tired of working through the same campaign, or you’ve stretched yourself too thin over hundreds of hours of gaming. GM burnout happens even to the best game masters out there, but there’s hope. Matt has plenty of tips to keep you going even if your inspiration tank is running on empty. Don’t push yourself to make magic happen. As we all know, a long rest does wonders and it can work for you. Let your players know that you’re getting tired. Try switching up the adventure with something new, give yourself more rest, or simply give a player a chance to be the GM for a session.
