Dress Up Your Battlefield With Mantic’s TerrainCrates

Mantic Games brought a huge smile to the face of dungeon crawlers everywhere with the release of Dungeon Saga’s three dimensional components. Ever since HeroQuest, rabid fans have clamored for plastic miniature bookshelves and weapon racks to add a deluxe feel to their catacombs. The time has finally come for this request to be answered in full.

TerrainCrate is Mantic’s latest Kickstarter, offering a new range of highly detailed and pre-assembled plastic scenery pieces for a variety of uses. You can enhance your dungeon, create a town full of life, or add oomph to that blood-soaked battlefield. The miniatures themselves come in colored plastic and can be easily painted or left as-is.

Versatility is the name of the game. These terrain pieces function extraordinarily well for RPGs, miniatures games, or board games. With such a multitude of applications these sets will find their way to your table and will not collect dust on the shelf.

A huge aspect of these sets is durability. Mantic has perfected their craft with their iterative terrain work on the BattleZones modular terrain line. Now it’s time to take the next step; these hard wearing pieces can sustain wear and tear while allowing you to keep your arm and leg.

That element of price is always the sticking point with such a product. If you’ve ever shopped around for similar accoutrements, you know very well that it takes a mound of cash for such furnishings. TerrainCrate is packaged in three different sets at an astounding price and can even be bundled for larger savings. This line will be available in the retail environment, but the savings won’t be nearly as large.

TerrainCrate is currently kicking down the wall and has achieved nearly 400% of its initial goal, hitting $280,000 in a matter of days. The Kickstarter ends on May 14th and can be found here.
