Sagas of Sundry: Goblin Mode tells the story of underdogs, not heroes. Set in the world of Sundaros, our story begins with a goblin and two skeletons leaving a pit. Bizzee, a skeleton played by Danielle Radford; Tippy, a goblin played by Jason Nguyen; and Fibs, a skeleton played by Dan Casey have an upward climb in “No Place Like Hole.” Like, a figurative uphill climb. Their tale starts with… digging and spiders–including the cutest spider you’ll ever meet.
But why do they have to leave their home in the first place? Gallantlings have come into their home and cleared the lair. That means heroes have done what they do: killed all the creatures they perceive as “bad guys” and claim any loot as their own. Tale as old as time. The gallantlings didn’t consider everyone who calls the lair home. What about the minions who are just there, doing their jobs and minding their own business?
Guided by game master Amy Vorpahl, Bizzee, Tippy, and Fibs have to leave their home and find their way in the big world. Their first move? To go find Unzug, the lair’s evil overlord. After all, he’s their boss, the being they all serve. However, tracking Unzug down isn’t as simple as it seems. It involves loss, a missing artifact, kissing a statue, disguise and trickery, and unions. Yes, you read that correctly.
