Act Fast or You’ll Lose the 20 SECOND SHOWDOWN

If just the words “party game” make you want to go home and hide under the covers, don’t bail on the party just yet! 20 Second Showdown from Big Potato Games won’t have all eyes on just you—you’ll have an entire team on your side to complete random, crazy (but not super embarrassing) challenges. Can you and your friends beat the other team before the sand in the hourglass runs out? There’s no time to lose!

20-second-showdown

20 Second Showdown is a party game for you and up to 19 of your friends. (You’ll need a minimum of five players to get started. Like we said, it’s a party!) Split into two teams and start the timer. Then it’s time to grab a card and complete the random challenge, hand off the baton to the next player on your team, and the other team takes their turn! You have just a few seconds to go back and forth between teams before the timer runs out. Whoever gets stuck on their turn when the sand runs out loses the round.

Let Becca Scott explain How to Play so you’re ready to get the party started.

Challenge cards can dare you to do anything from hugging a plant, to making something stick on the wall, to running around the table twice. It might make you look a little silly, but you won’t have any time to dwell on it as the timer ticks down.

One player can be designated as the judge to manage the timer and read the challenges aloud. Big Potato Games made sure no second is wasted! They even created a special timer for the game with audible cues so you don’t even have to pause to glance at it—you’ll know when time has run out without looking at the timer thanks to its ingenious design.

Things get a little crazy when Becca and friends play 20 Second Showdown on Game the Game, so let’s see it in action.

20 Second Showdown is now available at your friendly local game store and retailers like Target and Amazon.
