Just imagine: You and Robert Downey Jr. are sharing a pizza at his favorite NYC spot followed by photoshoot, a taping of The Tonight Show, and a private screening of Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War. You return to your four-star hotel at the end of the night, tuck yourself in, and await the morning when you realize this was all just a dream.
Except for one lucky person, this dream will be a reality.
The Notorious RDJ is teaming up with philanthropy group Omaze to create Random Act Funding which will provide support to multiple charities worldwide including the Motion Picture & Television Fund, Make-A-Wish and Anti-Recidivism Coalition. To kick off the endeavor, everyone who makes a donation will receive entries to win a once-in-a-lifetime experience mentioned at the start of this article. The higher the donation, the more entries received. Contributors will also receive items such as shirts, prints, glasses, prints, iron man helmets, and other collectibles.
Of course, being Robert Downey Jr., he couldn’t just launch the website and leave it be. Oh no. To kick off the project, Omaze put together a very silly Easter video. You should definitely pause whatever else you’re doing right now to watch it because it’s pretty great. Seriously, the first 15 seconds of Robert in a bunny suit should be enough to convince you to stick around for the rest:
What are you waiting for? Even if you’re strapped for cash, you can donate as little as $10 to receive 100 entries to win. Plus your donations help a really great guy help some really great organizations help some really great people in need. It’s all really really really great. Last year, Downey and Omaze raised over $2 million in five weeks for children’s hospice center Julia’s House. Imagine what good your donation can do for the world.
And a night with Robert Downey Jr. wouldn’t be so bad either. Now hop to it!
