For the Development/Office Intern positions, we’ve asked our current interns to write the ad:
Current Geek and Sundry Interns here to give you the crazy exciting opportunity to replace us! I’m sure you know us from our numerous appearances in main channel videos. (John’s voice, Cassandra’s fingertips) So as bona fide internet celebrities, you should trust us when we say interning for G&S is the super greatest best thing ever yeah! (No, we are not getting paid to say this).
The development team here at G&S is pretty freaking great. By interning here, you’ll learn tons about development and even get some hands-on experience with production. As development interns, you’ll be working with Annie and Nick — they’re the bee’s knees. We’re not just saying this because they’ll fire us if we don’t say nice things about them but they actually care about you as people and interns and future contributors to the creative world of entertainment. Interns help with day-to-day office needs and pre-production plus the occasional day on set of TableTop, Omnibus, Learning Curve, and other things of the not-yet-announced variety. To be an intern here you need a working car and the license to drive it. You’ll also need a laptop. Good writing skills and experience with script coverage are a plus. Interns should be able to put in 2-3 full days a week and be eligible to earn college credit. Plus, you should be a huge geek because everyone else here is. But don’t be snobby, nobody likes snobby geeks. To apply, send a note about why you want to intern for the Development team and include your favorite Groot quote (very important), with subject title “DEVELOPMENT/OFFICE INTERN” to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Looking for an inspired individual with a passion for all things post-production! You’ll get to assist with shows that come through the office, dabble in the world of codecs, edit videos, help manage our library of media, and any other necessary tasks for an internet-based company. Basic knowledge of Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro is a must; Photoshop and After Effects is a plus! You will need to have transportation and access to a computer (preferably apple). To apply, send an email to email@example.com with “Post Production Intern” in the subject. P.S. I hope you like hard drives 🙂
