Uplifting Art Shows Kids Imagining They’re Superheroes

Most kids grow up dreaming of the future. Some dream of being doctors, some of being sports stars, and some of being superheroes–which, come on, even adults dream about! Artist Jason Ratliff depicts this in a new series of stunning art called “Super Shadows”. The series originally started as a singular piece called “Hero” from Jason’s “Walking Shadows” series. But Jason told Curioos he “started receiving messages from parents of young daughters” asking if he planned to create some pieces of younger girls. This led Jason to create the piece titled “Heroine”. He has since added 10 more pieces in the series and plans to create more.

Jason notes that the art in the series is “focused on the inherent power of a child’s potential and imagination.” When we’re kids, our dreams are infinite. Who didn’t grow up imagining they could accomplish anything? Kids have a unique ability to dream big before jaded adults mess it up. Lets all be kids again and pretend we’re superheroes for a day!

Check out all of the inspirational “Super Shadows” pieces in the gallery below. Prints of each are available for purchase on Curioos so stock up for those superheroes in your life!
