In this week’s episode of Unplugged, the challengers not only play Farming Simulator, but also find themselves working hard on a real farm. How did Unplugged special guests iJustine and Strawburry17 handle wrangling chickens and milking goats? Find out in our exclusive interview as Justine Ezarik (iJustine), Meghan Camarena (Strawburry17), and Unplugged host Ashly Burch tell us the truth about life on the farm!
Geek & Sundry: Which event did you look forward to the most (or the least) and why?
Meghan Camarena: I really enjoyed catching the chicken! It was really scary but at the same time such a thrill!
Justine Ezarik: I actually loved the chicken chase. I used to chase them when I was little, so I totally should have won!
G&S: Which event was more challenging than you expected?
Meghan: Milking the goat. I couldn’t get it to work!
Justine: The end when we were supposed to drink the goat milk… I couldn’t do it.
G&S: How difficult was driving the tractor? Any tips for future drivers?
Meghan: In game it was slightly difficult. In real life, it was a BREEZE! Just push the gas and never look back!
Justine: The tractor was the easiest for me. I used to drive them all the time. My only tip is don’t run anything over.
G&S: Which do you prefer- Farming Simulator or real life on the farm?
Justine: As much fun as the sim was, real life farming is pretty amazing! I love the animals!
Ashly Burch: Real life pigs are significantly cuter, but simulators are substantially less smelly. Bit of a toss up.
Meghan: Farmer in real life. Gotta stick to my roots!
G&S: Who did you think would win in Farming Simulator? Who did you think would win for chicken catching?
Ashly: Since Justine grew up on a farm, I kind of had money on her for both challenges. (Don’t tell Megan.)
G&S: If video games were real life, which game would you want to live in?
Meghan: I’d love to live in the land of Azeroth in World of Warcraft.
Ashly: Final Fantasy 9, probably; the world is amazing.
Justine: I’d love to be in any Sims game and use ALL the cheat codes!!
Special thank you to Ashly, Justine, and Meghan for sharing their Unplugged experiences with us. You can catch more of Unplugged on Thursdays on Geek & Sundry!
