The opening credits to the James Bond movies are some of the most iconic of the film world. One fan decided to take the James Bond-style opening credit sequence and apply it to Star Wars. Since we probably won’t ever get something like this in the actual Star Wars franchise, it’s pretty neat. By adding some stylistic titles to The Empire Strikes Back, these re-imagined credits give an entirely different vibe to the opening scene. Check it out:
With unused music created by Radiohead for Spectre, this video manages to pay homage to both franchises. But wait, this isn’t the only instance of a fan creating epic openers for their favorite films and TV shows. Here are a few other re-imagined credits that really go above and beyond.
As we wait patiently (yeah, right) for the upcoming Twin Peaks reboot from Showtime, a fan brilliantly re-imagined the opening titles using animation. The video by Leonard Ermel manages to capture the vibe of Twin Peaks along with the creepy factor that the original credits always had, making the audience feel a little uneasy.
This homage to The Walking Dead comics is so believable, I bet you could show it to someone who has never seen the actual credits and they’d buy it. This title sequence by Daniel Kanemoto checks all of the boxes and manages to skillfully explain the story of The Walking Dead without spoiling the best parts! Can we suggest they begin using this for the next season?
