The Walking Dead Season 7 Trailer Is Here!

Alright guys, get ready! At The Walking Dead SDCC panel today, the first official trailer has been released for season 7.

You’ve definitely got to hand it to the geniuses at AMC for making this trailer, since they had to create it without showing about 80% of the main cast. Unsurprisingly, with the exception of Negan‘s chilling game of “eeny meenie miney moe” at the beginning, we don’t see any sight of the group in Negan’s lineup from the season 6 finale. While we still have no idea who Negan killed, we do get a glimpse of Carol, Tara, Morgan, and even our old buddy Jesus. Carol was in pretty bad shape when we last saw her, so it’s good to see that she’s doing okay. I’m also interested to see how Tara will be handling the brutal death of her girlfriend. From the looks of the trailer, she’s going to deal with it by kicking some serious walker ass.

Of course, I’m burying the lead here because we also got our first look at The Kingdom, Ezekiel, and his GIANT TIGER. With Negan and his creepy Saviors roaming around, I’m really excited to see a community of survivors that aren’t the absolute and complete worst. We know that Jeffrey Dean Morgan was promoted to series regular–which means we’re in for a lot of Negan’s messed up ways–but I’m excited to learn more about this new group.

Sadly, we’re going to have to wait a bit to learn more. The new season doesn’t start until October 23. So I guess it’s time to re-watch the trailer a zillion more times to see if I can catch a glimpse of any of the cast from Negan’s lineup.

What did you think of the trailer? Are you excited to meet The Kingdom and see more of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan? Got any theories after watching the trailer? Tell me in the comments!
