The Pull: Interview with Robbie Thompson

Hector Navarro of The Pull sits down with comic book writer and television writer and producer Robbie Thompson to talk about never growing up, the similarities and differences between writing for TV versus comic books, normalizing comics and greater representation in comic book worlds, and Charlie Bradbury’s (Felicia Day’s character) growth and background throughout the Supernatural series. Stay tuned for the chat room Q&A to find out Robbie’s recommendations for new comic book readers, his love for William Shatner, and any prep that people should do before reading Marvel’s Secret Wars.

Robbie’s work includes writing for Silk and Marvel’s Spider-verse, where he penned the Steampunk Lady Spider stories. You may also know Robbie from his work on Supernatural, where he has been a producer and writer since season seven, as well as from Human Target, The Cape, and Ark.

Tune in every Tuesday night from 7-10pm PST on our Twitch channel for The Pull. Hector Navarro, Amy Dallen, and Whitney Moore meet for more great interviews, live comic book readings, and our host’s picks of the week.

Fun Fact: Chef Boyardee’s first name is Hector, one of the several famous Hectors of the world, including Hector Navarro and Hector of Troy.
