Artist, creator, and Disney animator Brian Kesinger sits down with Zac Eubank to talk about the wonderful smell of electrical fires, Brian’s skill at drawing trees (both as backgrounds and as a certain Guardian of the Galaxy member), and how he became a Disney animator straight out of high school. In an interview that’s a little different from The Pull‘s norm, Brian, Zac, and an off screen Hector discuss the differences of animation, story boarding, and comic book creation, as well as behind-the-scene stories at Disney Animation.
As an animator, Brian has worked on such Disney movies as Tarzan, Atlantis, Treasure Planet, Bolt, Meet the Robinsons, Tangled, Wreck It Ralph, and Winnie the Pooh. He is the creator of Victoria and Otto, the steampunk duo and stars of the book Walking Your Octopus: A Guide to the Domesticated Cephalopod. In the comic book realm, Brian is the artist on Marvel’s new Groot title. You can find some of Brian’s work on his DevianArt.
Tune in every Tuesday night from 7-10pm PST on our Twitch channel for The Pull. Hector Navarro, Amy Dallen, and Whitney Moore meet for more great interviews, live comic book readings, and our host’s picks of the week.
