Turn Tabletop Gaming Pieces Into Other Useful Objects

It’s pretty satisfying to see something you love so dearly become popular enough that people start incorporating it into their everyday lives. We’re already there with our favorite movies and video games. Now it’s tabletop gaming’s turn!

TicketToRideHairClips

Check out these hair clips made from Ticket to Ride trains. They’re totes adorbs and the perfect gift for that gamer you know with unruly hair. Not a fan of the red trains? John du Bois, the creator of these and other cool board game art, takes custom orders and you can choose from any of the five train colors.

MagicMagnets

Magic: The Gathering is well-known for its gorgeous artwork from hundreds of artists (oh, and it’s also an insanely popular game). These refrigerator magnets created by Sarah Smith really accentuate the color and features of some of that art and there are 68 magnets to drool over choose from. Unfortunately (or luckily?), Black Lotus isn’t one of them.

CatanClock

This clock made from Settlers of Catan pieces is the perfect accent for any wall in your game room (provided that wall isn’t already covered by shelves full of games). Heather Miller created both 4th and 5th edition versions of this clock. Sadly, she’s currently sold out, but maybe if we ask her politely she’ll put the clock in mass production so we can all have one.

Have you created something amazing from spare game parts? Please share so we can ogle!
