Ever wonder about the princesses who didn’t get a Disney movie made about them? Rejected Princesses tells the stories of women who, let’s just say, won’t be getting their very own animated kids movie anytime soon. On RejectedPrincesses.com, you can find Jason Porath’s versions of these stories. Having worked on many animated films himself, one day Jason thought, “What is the least likely woman to ever get the animated princess treatment?”. He then illustrated some of the stories he discovered. Check out a few below.
Meet Lyudmila Pavlichenko, the deadliest female sniper in history. I wouldn’t want to run into her in the woods. Or anywhere, honestly.
Or how about Kate Shelley who crawled across a bridge to save an oncoming passenger train?
Or a favorite Boudica, who was the headhunter and queen who burnt London to the ground. Okay, so she wasn’t the sweetest heroine by any means. But she was still pretty epic.
