Only 50 more days until the November 18th premiere of J.K. Rowling’s next round of wizarding adventures, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and the folks behind the project have teamed up with Ellen DeGeneres to premiere the final trailer for the film.
In this new footage we see more of the long anticipated magical beasts, Colin Farrell acting more than a little sinister, and the characters actually discussing the “no-maj” and “muggle” debate.
We also get a glimpse into Newt Scamander’s enchanted suitcase when Dan Fogler’s character drops in for a visit, but who knows what he’ll discover in there?
Much of this latest trailer includes shots of creatures we haven’t seen before, confirming that Newt’s career as a magizoologist is basically the dream job of any Rowling fan that has ever wished to attend ‘Care of Magical Creatures’ class at Hogwarts. The beasts truly do look fantastic, as do the story’s main characters. Seeing glimpses of Newt, Porpentina, Queenie, and Jacob like never before have just powered fans’ excitement and yearning to return to the wizarding world.
With every new trailer for Fantastic Beasts, the film feels more and more familiar, so incredibly like the world of Harry Potter we already hold dear. It seems that the story will include just enough of the original franchise mixed in with all new characters and adventures, and everyone’s favorite little fluffball, of course, the niffler.
