New Community Manager Checking In!

Hi, Geek & Sundry-ers! I’m Beverly Reynolds and I am beyond excited to tell you that I am Geek & Sundry’s new Community Manager. There are a lot of awesome things on the horizon that we’ve been planning and we’re really excited to share them with you. First, though, I’d like to introduce myself, because you’re going to be hearing from me a lot in the weeks ahead! I’m really passionate about this community because I am a member of it. I’m a lifelong geek whose, um, illustrious IMDB credits include not one, not two, but three back-of-my-head appearances as an extra on The Guild. I previously worked in community on BioWare’s Star Wars: The Old Republic, and have contributed to iOS review site Touch Arcade. I play tons of video games (currently obsessed with Diablo 3!), love science fiction and fantasy, and spend an unhealthy amount of weekends going to the movies. So I’m one of you—and I hope you’ll share some of your ideas for what you’d like to see from me! The thing that I’m most excited for is the introduction of the official Geek & Sundry forums, which should be making an appearance on the site very soon. They’re going to be a great place for you all to connect with each other and with the G&S team, and we can’t wait to show them to you! Also, don’t forget that the cutoff for entries to our TableTop + GeekDad Father’s Day Contest is this Friday, June 8th at noon PST. Make a 60-second or less video about how board games have affected your relationship with your kids or your own dad, and your video might be one of five introduced by Wil as our official bonus content on Thursday, June 21st! All entries will appear in a special playlist on our channel. For more information (including how to tag your videos so we’ll see them!), visit Wired’s GeekDad blog here. That’s about it for now. If you have ideas, questions, or feedback, feel free to contact me directly. You can find me on Twitter (@beverlynoelle), or you can always get in touch via Geek & Sundry’s official Twitter, Facebook, G+ or YouTube (and go subscribe if you haven’t already, will ya?)! Thanks for all you do, and I can’t wait to get to know you all better!
