Netflix’s Marvel Trailer Roundup – Defenders, Luke Cage, and More!

San Diego Comic Con 2016 is officially underway, and we’re starting to see our first big wave of trailers release. And one huge wave that recently swept through the land of lines known as Hall H were the trailers for Netflix’s Marvel shows. Netflix has some serious Marvel game, and we’ve got a lot of rad shows to look forward to. Information on what’s coming next on the shows is kept under pretty tight watch, so even the smallest bit of info is amazing to see. Marvel and Netflix blessed us all with teaser trailers, and you have got to check them out.

Luke Cage

Unsurprisingly, this is the trailer with the most meat on its bones since the show lands on Netflix in September (aaahhh!!!). The show takes place after the events in Jessica Jones, with Luke trying to rebuild his life and find some sort of normalcy while also being crazy strong and having unbreakable skin. We all fell in love with Luke on Jessica Jones, and I cannot wait to see what crazy adventures he has in Harlem.

Iron Fist

Now we’re more firmly into the “teaser” territory. This trailer for Iron Fist doesn’t show us much, except for brief glances of Danny Rand’s origin story. Still, it looks like the tone and style of Iron Fist is going to be an incredibly badass superhero, and Finn Jones looks like he’s officially left the Knight of the Flowers behind. We don’t have a release date, only an ominous “coming soon”, but with his role in the upcoming Defenders show, I’d expect Iron Fist to drop prior to that.

Daredevil Season Three

Alright, now we’re gonna get into the teasiest of all the teasers starting with the Daredevil teaser. This trailer literally shows us nothing about what’s to come for Matt Murdock and Foggy, but it lets us know that season three is coming. We don’t know when the show will drop, presumably sometime next year, but it’s been said that the show’s filming was delayed a bit thanks to Defenders. Speaking of which…

Defenders

Like I said, this is another trailer that really takes that “teaser” moniker seriously. But seriously, even though this trailer tells us NOTHING about the show–only that some disembodied voice doubts their ability to save anyone because they can’t save themselves–this trailer got me so pumped for the show. Unfortunately, it doesn’t give us any release date either apart from telling us that the show will drop in 2017. If the rumor is that Daredevil will release after Defenders, then maybe that means Defenders will drop earlier in the year rather than later. We can only hope, at least.

Unfortunately there was no teaser for Jessica Jones, but it’s been said that the filming for Jessica Jones season 2 and Defenders will be back to back. So hopefully we’ll see more of our favorite whisky-drinking superhero/PI soon!

What did you think of the teasers? Which show are you most pumped to see? Tell us your thoughts in the comments!
