With news that Universal Studios will soon feature Nintendo themed attractions it got us thinking what other rides, features, or attractions we’d like to see at the theme park. Take a look at our list of some of the fun that would await us all if Universal would just only grant us our wildest dreams.
Universal Monster House
We’ve already got the Psycho house in which our weird and lonely Norman Bates resides, but how great would it be to have a full-on haunted house of horrors populated by our favorite creepy quadrumvirate The Mummy, Dracula, the Wolfman, and Frankenstien’s monster? Terror awaits at every corner. Can you escape?
Dinner Mystery Theater featuring Sherlock Holmes
Universal once put out a great many films from the world’s favorite fictional detective, so what better way to spend an hour or two than attempting to solve a clever crime while eating at a Victorian era restaurant at 222 Baker’s street. (It’s right next door to Sherlock’s pad you see?) With special guest appearances by Murder She Wrote’s Jessica Fletcher, the duo could team up for some of the greatest mysteries of all time.
Quantum Leap: The Leap Home
The time traveling shenanigans of Doctor Sam Beckett were often filmed on the Universal Studios Back Lot. How cool would it be to step into a Quantum Leap Accelerator and be transported on a roller coaster ride that shot you through space and time?
Battlestar Galactica: Viper Squadron
On your long wandering journey from Caprica to the mythical Earth, you must pilot a Mark II Viper into a Cylon stronghold to free your captured Captain Kara “Starbuck” Thrace. The fate of the fleet is counting on you. Do you have what it takes?
Jaws 3: Underwater Ride
It might not be the best in the series, but it would quite possibly make the best attraction. Walk through an underwater exhibit while a giant shark outside tries to break in. Screech in fake/fun terror as the water just outside the walkway begins to flood in the room. Can you escape?
Dawn/Shaun of the Dead an Undead Journey
Take a ride through an abandoned shopping mall as a horde of the undead chase you from one shop to the next. OR, make your way with a group of your closest friends to the relative safety of your favorite watering hole. Why not both? You’ve got nothing to lose….except for maybe your life.
Pitch Perfect: Karaoke Bar
A nice change up from walking around the park all day, the Pitch Perfect Karaoke Bar is the perfect spot to bring out your inner rock star and unleash those superstar pipes on a bigger stage. And who knows who’s watching? If you’re in Hollywood, you just might be discovered.
