We’re super stoked that Todd Haberkorn is joining us this week to test out some new programming as part of Geek & Sundry’s Open Beta. But some of you might be going, “Who’s this Todd Haberkorn guy, and why is he hosting?” Well allow me to explain…
Todd Haberkorn is an anime and video game voice actor with over 20 years experience in the business. If you watch anime, you’ve probably heard his voice somewhere. He’s knows the business and the people in it better than most. Plus he’s a pretty fun fella.
Where You’ve Heard Him Before
Haberkorn’s vocal career took off in 2000 when he played the role of Kohza in One Piece. Since then, he’s appeared in dozens of roles including Natsu in Fairy Tail, Ling Yao in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Watanuki in xxxHolic, Allen Walker in D. Gray Man, Itsuki in Shuffle!, Hikaru in Ouran High School Host Club, Kazuya in Ghost Hunt, Kono in Darker Than Black, Raki in Claymore, Tsukune in Rosario + Vampire, Italy in Hetlaia: Axis Powers, Death the Kid in Soul Eater, Ceylan in Tenkai Knights, Jadeite in Sailor Moon Crystal, and many many more that I shan’t name because I have other articles to write today.
But most importantly, Todd is truly passionate about anime. He even got a Fairy Tail tattoo after promising fans he would go through with it when the show hit 100 episodes.
What is Otak-ing Heads?
Otak-ing Heads is Geek & Sundry’s new anime show, which premieres tonight as part of our Open Beta test to try out new live programming. The show will invite anime voice actors to come hang out, talk about their craft, and have some fun. They’ll play games such as guessing plots based on box art and re-voicing scenes as characters never intended for the roles.
Why should you tune in? Because there are very few anime-based talk shows out there that offer the caliber of talent Geek & Sundry plans to bring to the table. But this dream can only become a reality if you tune in.
So come and watch the premiere of Otak-ing Heads tonight at 5pm PT on Geek & Sundry’s Twitch channel!
