From billiards to darts, it’s not uncommon for bars to have some sort of additional activities to keep their alcohol-induced patrons distracted. But now, some bars have gone even one step farther with a collection of arcade or pinball games to play. Barcadia has locations across the deep south with arcade games ranging from Beer Pong to Galaga. In addition to a bar, Barcadia is also a restaurant with a full menu and able to host private events and parties.
The Four Quarters
The Four Quarters claims to be London’s only arcade bar boasting games from Pac-Man to Street Fighter II with craft beer selections and some American food items as well.
Barcade in Brooklyn was one of the first arcade bars in the United States having celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2014. This newer location boasts a beautiful bar with craft beers and over 50 games.
Columbus, Cleveland + Cincinatti, OH
16-Bit Bar + Arcade has locations in three Ohio cities. The Columbus location has over 40 arcade and pinball games on the floor and boasts weekly competitions and events for its’ patrons.
Game Bar A-Button
Hidden in a hard-to-find street in Tokyo, Gamebar A-Button is frequented by lovers of retro and classic gaming equipment. Both members of the game industry and fans pack this bar on the weekends.
Ground Kontrol in Portland, OR is one of the best arcade bars in the United States. It features over 100 pinball and arcade games plus a full bar and fun atmosphere.
Beta Bar is a unique gaming space meant for gamers to socialize and network while enjoying games from many generations, custom consoles and also board and card games as well.
With multiple locations in Chicago, Headquarters Beercade features over 35 vintage arcade and pinball games and an extensive beer menu in a huge venue.
Le Fantôme only has a few arcade games and a foosball table but the open bar is a great place to hang out with friends and enjoyed delicious mixed drinks in Paris.
