Go Galactic with these SMS Audio Star Wars Headphones

A good pair of headphones is hard to find. Especially ones that let you express your love for your favorite fandom. SMS Audio sent us a pair of their Boba Fett headphones from their Star Wars line for this review and we weren’t disappointed. These headphones are officially by Star Wars currently come in 4 different styles: Boba Fett, Stormtropper, Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance.

A second line is coming out soon featuring R2D2, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and the Death Star.

What drew me to the Boba Fett ones was the subtly of them. It’s not so in-your-face Star Wars as the Stormtropper ones but die-hard fans would appreciate the nod to them. The first thing I noticed upon putting them to use was the softness and cushion on the actual headphones. Not only do you look cool as Hoth with them on, you’re also extremely comfortable. They also neatly fold up for storage in the included matching pod case.

Ok, now for the sound. These SMS headphones have passive noise cancellation (PNC) which means that they’re on-ear instead of over-the-ear. They’re a tad smaller and sit comfortably on top of the ears and block out enough outside noise without being completely noise canceling. It comes with a detachable cable that allows you to skip tracks and even answer calls.

The listening experience is mostly enjoyable with no distortion and a good amount of bass without peaking anything out. While there are better headphones out there on the market, you’re still getting your money’s worth with these as well as the added aesthetic that will be sure to grab any Star Wars fan’s attention.

Costing $179, they are an investment but totally worth it in terms of sound, fashion, and y’know the awesome stickers and posters it comes with. Now, sit back and maybe take a listen to some our Superhero Playlists and may the Force be with you.
