Get Gaming With These USAOpoly Titles at SDCC In Our Tabletop Lounge

In case you haven’t heard, we’re doing our annual activation again for San Diego Comic Con  – this time, we’ll be hanging out at the Marina Terrace of the Marriott Marquis & Marina. Our tabletop lounge will be stocked full of awesome games and we’ll even have some exciting demos of yet-to-be-released games for you to get your hands on.  And no, you don’t need a convention pass to get in on the fun!

Here are games our friends at USAopoly will be bringing for you to play and enjoy!

SPECIAL DEMO – THE THING: INFECTION AT OUTPOST 31

TheThing-3dbt-_cropped_1024x1024

Play it on Friday & Saturday, July 21-22 – Noon – 3PM

This tabletop adaptation of the cult-classic John Carpenter sci-fi work is a hidden-identity game. At Outpost 31, it seems that a hostile extraterrestrial being, with intentions to assimilate the human race, has infiltrated and morphed itself into a perfect imitation of one of the outpost’s crew.

It’s a race to discover who on the team has been infected before it’s too late, for both the crew, and humanity. Expect a high-tension, 4-8 player experience. This game will be releasing in October of this year, but you can get your hands on it early in our lounge.

LIBRARY GAMES TO PLAY WITH FRIENDS

USAopoly Games 1 (1)

Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle

This cooperative deck building game has you play as either Harry, Hermoine, Ron, or Neville. Team up and keep the Death Eaters from taking control of magical landmarks like Gringotts, The Ministry of Magic, and Diagon Alley, while teaming up with allies like Dumbledore and Sirius Black to defeat enemies the likes of Draco Malfoy and Bellatrix. Take the game on a journey and in the end you’ll be facing down He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named in a final battle (after, of course, destroying all of his Horcruxes.)

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Awesome Mix Card Game

This game won’t be hitting store shelves until September, but you’ll be able to get your hands on it first, playing as your favorite Guardian where you bluff, steal, and trade cards to keep from getting stuck with the worst gear.

Super Mario Level Up

In this 3-D deckbuilding game, you’ll get a chance collect coins and reach the castle at the top. Once at the top, players vote to see if that player gets to say. With only two no votes available to you, you’ve got to vote wisely. First player to get to the top and get voted to stay unanimously wins the game.

X-Men Munchkin

A classic game gets an X-Men twist as Munchkin meets X-Men and the fun is unleashed like Cyclops’ laser beams. You play as a student in Xavier’s School for Gifted Children and can team up with famous X-Men to take down iconic villains, including Magneto himself.

USAopoly Games 2

Nefarious & Becoming a Monster Expansion Expansion

Be a mad scientist! If you’ve ever thought that a freeze ray had more than a single application (instant ice cream) or that a robot pet can take over the world (like Furby) this is the game for you. Assign minions to generate income, order blueprints and build evil inventions as you race your opponents to 20 points (and beyond to win the game).  With the new expansion you’ll also have new abilities, new options and new twists to add more excitement to the game.

Game of Thrones Clue

Someone died. That seems like a Tuesday in Westeros, but figuring out who, what, and where is key to winning the continual Game of Thrones.  Ask Varys himself, knowledge is power. Just make sure your accusations are right, and the person you’re accusing doesn’t have the means to take your head, whether you’re right or wrong.

Telestrations & Telestrations After Dark

With the original and the adult-only version of Telestrations, you play a game of telephone of words, except instead of relaying it by saying it, you sketch it. When stick figures meet unpredictable imaginations, you have a recipe for fun.

Want to check out all the awesomeness happening in our Tabletop Gaming Lounge? We’ve compiled the full list of games in our lending library as well as all the hands on demos happening. Make sure you keep up with us on Twitter and Facebook for more info on what’s going on with Geek & Sundry at SDCC!
