Twitch is a thing. And we’re about to be on the thing. Very soon.
Geek & Sundry is coming to you everyday on Twitch.tv! To kick off this exciting new adventure we are having a 48-hour event for a great cause.
Geek & Sundry and Felicia Day invite you to join us for our 48-hour charity live stream marathon on Twitch.tv. This three-day event, taking place March 3-5, will raise money to benefit the Lupus Foundation of America in honor of Felicia’s friend, Maurissa Tancharoen, who you may know as one of the showrunners of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and all-around amazing person.
Lupus is an unpredictable and misunderstood autoimmune disease and is something that Maurissa and countless others live with every day. In America alone, 1.5 milllion have been affected by this mysterious disease. The Lupus Foundation of America is the only national force devoted to solving the mystery of the disease, and funding for the organization grants to lupus researchers and advocates the ability to raise awareness and funds to support the millions of people living with this disease.
Twitch is an incredibly interactive gaming live stream site where players have the opportunity to communicate with audiences and through a partnership with the platform, our gameplay marathon will be featured on the front page of the site!
Join us from March 3-5 to enjoy live streamed gameplay with the Geek & Sundry crew and our celebrity friends to support Maurissa and lupus research.
We’ll be playing games, hosting giveaways, live performances and specials guests for 48 hours straight, all to support this incredible foundation.
The fun will be starting at 5pm on March 3rd over at http://www.twitch.tv/geekandsundry. Use the hashtag #LetsPlayTogether to keep tabs throughout the marathon. We can’t wait to kick off something awesome and support an incredible cause!
