Geek & Sundry Announces New Shows!

For those of you who couldn’t make it to out San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend, we missed you! We had our community Geek & Sundry off-site with gaming and parties running from Thursday to Sunday, and our annual panel on Saturday announcing new shows and exciting partnerships.

Our panel took place in the Indigo Ballroom with a packed house. Guests included Felicia Day, Wil Wheaton, Amy Berg (Leverage, Eureka), Adam de la Pena (G4’s Code Monkeys), and our very own vloggers Sachie and Amy Dallen.

Our panel highlighted our current and upcoming programming, as well as introducing more people to our brand new Geek & Sundry Vlogs channel. The panel culminated with an exciting video from Bryan Singer on the set of X-Men: Days of Future Past announcing Geek & Sundry and Bad Hat Harry working together on our new scripted show, Spooked. For more details on all these series, check out the details below.

Brought to you by Adam de la Pena, his 8-bit saga continues in Outlands, which is an animated series about a group of misfit soldiers who are sent to the far reaches of outer space to clear planets of life and make room for intergalactic convenience stores. Voices include Felicia Day, Dana Synder (Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Venture Bros.), and more! Premiering August 6th!

Created by Amy Berg (Eureka, Leverage) and Mike Sizemore (Stage adaptation of Howl’s Moving Castle), Caper is a super-hero comedy series mixing live action with motion comics. Caper features four super-powered crime fighters forced into a secret life of crime. This isn’t the story about a super team coming together. This is about four alter egos desperate to escape their tiny, shared apartment. Combining their knowledge of the criminal mind to pull off victimless heists seems the perfect quick fix. But there’s a catch…they can’t use their superpowers or else everyone will know what these do-gooders are up to. Premiering January, 2014!

Created by Josh Gad (Book of Mormon), GamE.R. is a comedic live action series that looks at where injured video game characters go when the console is turned off. Take a trip inside St. Mary’s Grid of Hope, a bustling emergency room for video game characters. There you’ll meet the heroic yet flawed surgeons who patch them up – some of them former game heroes themselves, struggling to handle retirement; while others are software programs, designed for repair but with emotional glitches of their own, seen as inferior by the former game hero doctors and derided as “programs.” They contend with all manners of injuries from head-stomping, shooting and more. It’s all in a days work for the intrepid doctors in GamE.R. Premiering Winter!

Magic: The Gathering Series

Sean Plott, also known as Day[9)], hosts our new Magic: the Gathering series here on Geek & Sundry. Each week, Sean and guests will battle it out with a myriad of different cards and play styles. Premiering this Fall!

Brought to you in conjunction with Bad Hat Harry, Spooked is a comedic series that takes us into the unpredictable and often chaotic world of P.I.T., the Paranormal Investigation Team, whose missions into the unknown are typically met with a healthy dose of terror and hilarity. Premiering this Winter!
