Geek & Sundry Joins Nerdist To Enter The Next Level of Interaction with ALPHA

How do we better interact with you? This is something we ask ourselves on nearly a daily basis. Through Twitch, the website, or social media; we are looking for more and better ways to bring you into our weird and wonderful world, hear what you have to say, and work together to do the things we love. We started off with creating great content on Twitch and expanded on that with new programs, but still we wanted to find a better way. Today, we here at Geek & Sundry, along with our friends at Nerdist, are proud to announce a new venture with new programs and new ways to interact. Introducing Alpha, our standalone membership video platform.

You’ll be able to check out exclusive content and interact with your favorite hosts and other members of the community like never before. You’ll be able to vote, talk to, and maybe even appear on-screen during a show. And with more plans in the works, this is just the beginning of what we have in store for you when you join Alpha.

All the great programming that you love and shows that you plan your week around are still going to be here. Think of Alpha as something more, a side of fries to go with your burger or a mage to add to the quest party. But instead of 200 calories or a random bolt of lightning, we’re giving you a diverse array of shows including live programming with celebrities, games shows where you could be the contestant, and scripted stories where you will have a hand in the outcome. Think of Alpha as an addition to all the great things you already love about Geek & Sundry.

Later this year, the door will swing open to Alpha and you’ll be able to get VIP access, participate in community activities, and extra treats exclusive to the service just to name a few of the perks. When the forces of Geek & Sundry and Nerdist combine, you know something amazing is going to happen… like some kind of awesome Voltron piloted by kittens with eye-patches.

“I’m thrilled to have Geek & Sundry unified with Nerdist under this innovative new platform that provides an environment for fans to celebrate the things they love in a way not seen before.”
– Felicia Day, actress, writer, producer, and founder of Geek & Sundry.

Once Alpha hits the virtual air waves, you’ll be able to take it anywhere you go on iOS or catch the newest shows on your desktop computer. We look forward to bringing you along with us on this amazing adventure.
