The Game of Thrones Season Six Trailer Is Un-Frickin-Believable

If you’re anything like us, you were doing something that got interrupted by news of the trailer and decided to watch it rather than continue doing whatever was less important than this:

Good choice, by the way.

We’re not going to admit we’ve watched it at least four dozen times, but here’s a few things we were able to catch that weren’t really in the books:

It looks like Davos is fighting people in the same room as Jon Snow’s body.

We can only presume that there’s something important about Jon, because for someone who is really dead he sure shows up a lot in this trailer.  Which brings us to our next point of interest:

Who’s getting handsy with Jon?

Our first guess is Melisandre, given that her God of Light, R’hllor, has arguably been responsible for resurrecting the dead through his supplicants. It’s a hope, anyways, that Jon isn’t really gone.  Also, she’s clearly shown taking her clothing off, which usually means she’s channeling some sort of reason-defying magics.

The High Sparrow looks to be a player, rather than a pawn in the game.

He’s also looking like he’s giving comfort to Margaery, beneath the Sept of Baelor, so we might see him using Margaery as one of his playing pieces.

What did you catch in the trailer? The season looks like it’s going to expand the story beyond that of the books, so if you’ve got theories beyond the books, post them in the comments below!
