Hellooooo!Geek & Sundry is going north...at least for a day! Come hang out with us Thursday, August 2nd in Palo Alto. We're co-sponsoring a board gaming party with our friends from Days of Wonder (Ticket to Ride, Small World). The event is totally free, so if you're in the area, come hang out with us and play some board games into the night!Here are some of the details from Days of Wonder's invitation:Days of Wonder cordially invites you to a night of beer, pizza and braggadocio. It's an event we like to call “Beat the Founders” and it falls somewhere between “steel cage death match” and “fun party with board games.” Oh, and it’s being co-sponsored by both AOL, and by Geek & Sundry, creators of the Wil Wheaton show “Table Top” and big Days of Wonder fans.Days of Wonder founders Eric Hautemont and Mark Kaufmann will be on hand to play a game or three against those brave souls with the audacity to believe they can best them at their own titles. When not punishing challengers, Eric and Mark will be floating around giving expert tips of strategy and teaching newbs how to play the superstar board games Ticket to Ride and Small World.
We’ll have music, food, booze, schmoozing, and fun plus giving out prizes, games and other cool stuff.
