The transition from summer to fall is rarely instantaneous. There are always little signs here and there that slowly remind us that we’ve made it through the heat and are winding down into everyone’s favorite season of colorful leaves, turkey legs, and television show season premieres.
Sure, the cooler weather is enjoyable, but there really isn’t anything better than experiencing a beloved series’ title card and theme music start up on your screen as you sink into your couch, ready for the brand new installment of a story you’ve been following since episode one. Not sure what’ll be back in the next couple of months? Have no fear! Take a gander below to catch up on when your favorite geeky shows will be starting again.
Gotham, 9/19 (FOX)
The stakes are higher than ever during season three of Gotham, as the story is introduced to more villains, more Curtain of Owls, and more general chaos across the city for Jim Gordon. Watch the season premiere on September 19th at 8/7c.
Agents of Shield, 9/20 (ABC)
At the end of season three we watched helplessly as we lost characters, Daisy went a bit rogue, and the story as a whole got darker and darker. With the show’s time-slot pushed back an hour, expect to see an even grittier version of Marvel’s originally upbeat TV venture. Don’t miss the premiere of season four on September 20th at 10/9c.
Once Upon a Time, 9/25 (ABC)
With every season of Once Upon a Time we’re reintroduced to Disney characters from our past in a whole new light. This go around, season six is set to bring Aladdin, Jafar, and Princess Jasmine to Storybrooke, because more magic is exactly what we need for our series regulars to deal with. Check in with your favorite fairy tale characters with the start of season six on September 25th at 8/7c.
Supergirl, 10/10 (CW)
The wait is almost over for season two of CW’s mega-hit, Supergirl. Jam packed with action, fun, and relatable characters, Melissa Benoist leads the cast into their second season. Exciting for many fans of classic DC comics, the upcoming story lines includes none other than Superman, played by Tyler Hoechlin. Supernatural, 10/13 (CW)
The boys are back in town, armed with their very best hearts, thumbs, and demons, and they’re not alone.
