Eric M. Lang Joins Cool Mini Or Not as New Director of Game Design

For over twenty years, Eric M. Lang has established himself as one of the best game designers in the industry. Earlier this week, Lang teased an announcement that was “long in the making,” and the news did not disappoint!

Cool Mini Or Not has revealed that Lang has agreed to join the company as its new Director of Game Design, starting on April 1st. As part of his new role, Lang will create and design new games for CMON while leading the development team as well. Lang has previously collaborated with CMON on Blood Rage, Arcadia Quest, Bloodborne: The Card Game, and other titles. He has also designed games based on Game of Thrones, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings, in addition to winning the 2016 Diana Jones Award for Excellence in Gaming.

“CMON is truly a visionary leader in the game industry,” said Lang in a statement. “Even with all these amazing games, I feel like there is so much exciting potential for the future, and it’s a great honor to join the team and navigate this future together.” “Having Eric as part of the team is huge,” added CMON’s Creative Director, David Preti. “Not only is he a friend, but I have worked with him, side-by-side, on projects like Rising Sun, Blood Rage, and The Others and seen the craft and dedication he brings to his work. As CMON’s Director of Game Design, I know he will help take the company and its library of games to a new level, and I can’t wait for fans to see what’s coming up.”

Lang isn’t the only high profile recent addition to CMON. On Monday, CMON announced that legendary gaming illustrator Adrian Smith has joined the company  as the new lead artist. With both Lang and Smith on the team, it sounds like there are exciting times ahead at CMON!
