Critical Role Fan Craft – Pike’s Sarenrae Necklace

The Goddess Sarenrae has redeemed Pike, and she can redeem you as well. If you’d like a necklace to pay homage to the goddess of redemption and healing, this simple tutorial will show you the way.

What you’ll need:

  • 1/8” craft wood
  • scrap piece of 2×4 lumber
  • sandpaper
  • ruler
  • hammer and nail
  • ruler
  • exacto knife
  • acrylic paint
  • paintbrush
  • pen
  • painter’s tape
  • embroidery thread
  • needle
  1. Draw a circle on the wood and carefully cut it out with the exacto knife. It may take several cuts to go through the whole wood. Work slowly and carefully to make sure the wood does not split.

1A

  1. Sand away any rough edges and splinters.
  1. Cover the entire piece of wood in painter’s tape. This does two things: it allows you to be able to mark your holes on it, and it will keep the wood from splitting. Depending on what type of wood you’re using, splitting can be a real problem. Go slowly and carefully and work on a flat surface.

3A

  1. Measure your holes and mark them on the tape covering.
  1. Place the taped wood on your scrap lumber and nail holes through the tape and wood.

5A

  1. Sand and paint the amulet.
  1. Embroider your design through your nail holes. Add a string for the necklace.
