As Star Wars: The Force Awakens quickly approaches, we’re finding ourselves bombarded with everything Episode VII. Most overwhelming is all the merchandise. You’ll find TFA merch in pretty much every major retailer you walk into. Some of it is pretty cool, like the BB-8 droid, and some causes reactionary shouting of “Are you %$&@#*!^ kidding me?!”
It got us wondering, how much would it cost to buy all the official TFA merchandise? We’re talking about the officially licensed products, not including handmade Etsy items or restaurant branded wrappers/cups. I volunteered to scour the web and total it up, which was a dumb move as someone who actually wants to stay sane.
My sanity right now

How did I do this? I added up the retail prices on hundreds of items, specifically The Force Awakens and not generic Star Wars items, from 10 retailers and additional random products I found here and there. The tricky part was not overlapping, but I did my best.
And the grand total before tax is….$17,933.81
If it seems a little low, that’s because it probably is. More merch seems to pop up every day, including The Force Awakens oranges. ORANGES FOR YODA’S SAKE! But those weren’t the only weird things I found. During this mathematical journey, I came across some really out-there items and wanted to share the 29 strangest The Force Awakens official products. Check out my findings in the gallery below, and share some of the weird The Force Awakens products you’ve found in the comments!
