The first ever viewing of the Star Wars saga is a very special time in the existence of a budding, young geek. Sure, there are all sorts of ways to get your Jedi on with TV shows, novels, comic books, and spinoffs all over the place, but there’s nothing quite like the opening crawls of A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and The Return of the Jedi to truly inspire the geek in all of us.
For Andy Herald of HowToBeADad.com, he knew that the time had come to introduce his son to a galaxy far, far away, and luckily for us he taped his son’s every reaction. And questions. He had lots of questions.
First up, A New Hope, where Andy’s son wonders where Luke Skywalker is throughout just about the entire film, and it’s completely adorable.
In The Empire Strikes Back, they learn a hard lesson on the dangers of spoilers in every day life. Also, you’ll want to hear this six-year-old’s version of The Imperial March. Just wait.
And if you want to see a brand spankin’ new Star Wars fan completely lose his cool over the possibility of Luke losing it all, you’re in the right place, because Return of the Jedi hits a particularly intense note with the young Herald padawan in the third installment of this series.
In the end, just as excitedly stated in the video, Luke wins. In the case of these HowToBeADad.com videos, we all win, because sharing the love of Star Wars with someone new is always an out of this world experience, let alone sharing the franchise with your own little Jedi-in-training.
