We, the Critical Role cast and crew, experience Critmas everyday of the year. Each morning brings new art, new creations, and a new appreciation for this incredible slice of geekdom, all because we somehow lucked into having the best community anyone could ask for. I don’t know what serial killer we all banded together and took down in an alternate universe, but man, he must have been an asshole.
The Critters and Hoomans have, over the course of the year, showered us with amazingly generous gifts. So much so, that we are all having a hard time figuring out what to get each other this holiday season. Dice bags do NOT have the storage capacity of “ye olde Bag O’ Holding”, and Geek & Sundry has very little space designated for “Giant Bear Storage”. But now we have a new idea to help get us into the spirit of giving, inspired by YOU.
Each member of Vox Machina has chosen a charity to individually represent. We’d like to encourage anyone who is wanting to participate in Critmas to first check out the list below. This is our new initiative to remind us all that giving is greater than receiving, and we shouldn’t feel limited to the brief holiday season to celebrate that!
- Sam: Pablove Foundation
- Liam: The Planetary Society
- Marisha: The Nature Conservancy
- Matt: First Book
- Taliesin: First Place for Youth
- Travis: Operation Supply Drop
- Laura: My Friend’s Place
- Ashley: Amnesty
And as always, the cast and crew of Critical Role love and support 826LA.
Please remember, we don’t want to discourage any of our community’s creativity or generosity. For those who want to craft items for us, you can still send them to us, but if you are thinking of purchasing us something, please consider checking out one (or two, or three) of the charities above, and donate in the name of Critmas! Then, let us know, so we can keep track of the impact this little community makes in the world. We thank you all, and from the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful that you’ve helped make a fandom defined by its artistry, craftsmanship, and goodwill.
Best Wishes and Critical Success this holiday season,
